Palanga circuit

Palanga circuit is a temporary race track, located in Lithuania, 2 kilometers from resort town Palanga. Annual 1000 km race is being held on this circuit since 2000 during last weekend of July.
==Track information==

The track is 2.681 km (1.675 mi) long, and is technically a street circuit, as the circuit is a public road when no racing events are being run. Race track lies on the intersection of A13 highway and A11 highway. Race track is in "8" shape, as the course intersects itself under the bridge, making it similar to Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
Originally the track was 2.994 km long, but it was shortened by 300 m in 2013. The circuit is one of a minority of non-oval racing circuits to go in an anti-clockwise direction. Refueling takes place in a nearby gas station. In 2008, all race participants used over 17 400 liters of fuel combined.
Track record belongs to latvian Konstantin Calko, who set fastest time of 1:07.046 in his Speed Factory Racing's Radical SR8 in 2014 1000 kilometrų lenktynės.
